Awards are funny things, aren’t they. They’re nice to win and they give you good boost of confidence. They’re good for your clients and potential clients to see that you’ve been recognised as doing well in your profession. They’re good to add to your email signature as a sign of credibility. Generally, they’re a sign that you can be trusted.
But then you’re awarded one that hits home a little more than others, and that’s what this one did.
To be amongst the winners of the Mortgage Professional Australia Elite Women for 2023 is a huge honour for me.
When I take a look back at the journey I’ve been on since I hit adulthood, I’ve come an awfully long way from the partying, “live in the moment”, young woman I was. Working my way around the world on cruise ships collecting handbags, watches and memories. The bank wouldn’t even give me a home loan!
And now, I’m coaching people to save, get a loan, buy their first home, invest in property and create financial security through property ownership. I employ a fabulous team of women who are just as passionate as I am to help our clients achieve their goals.
I mentor new brokers entering the industry, I actively participate as a board member, I have an amazing family and group of friends supporting me every step of the way, and I’m very proud to be recognised in this way.
Life is very good, but it didn’t happen by accident or chance. It happened due to motivation, a really clear, compelling goal and my own coaches.
So I hope you don’t mind that I’m tooting my own horn, but I think this one deserves a toot.
