I don’t know about you, but over the last couple of years there are a couple of things I’ve really missed. Concerts and holidays.
The beauty of seeing a live performance has been missing from our lives, which is awful for us and even worse for the performers. But no more! I’m going to shrug off that post pandemic blanket and book some tickets! Not sure what to yet, but I’ll be Googling hard – and hopefully dancing my feet off when I’m there!
I’ve also really missed holidays. Not just family camping trips but a real holiday that requires planning, research, a passport and a plane – and preferably some warm weather and a cocktail at the other side.
Holidays are so important for both our physical and mental health. They’re great for our relationships and for our soul.
There’s nothing quite like exploring a new city, town or island, finding out what makes it tick, finding things you love and those to avoid next time. Talking to new people, seeing new places, learning new cultures, hearing different languages, these are the things that I believe really make life rich.
I’ve been excitedly watching my friends Insta and Facebook feeds as they start travelling again and it’s really exciting to see life return to our new normal. There is so much to see out there – and at home, and we really have to make it happen!
How long since you’ve had one of these holidays or been to a concert or show? Where are you planning to go first and who are you going to see in concert?
I’m starting my research now and I’m excited just thinking about the possibilities!
